Founded in Chihuahua in 1941, GCC manufacture and distribute cement, mortar, premixed concrete, concrete blocks, plaster and aggregate and have over 3000 employees and 170 plants and distribution centres throughout Mexico and the USA. Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua now benefits from cost effective, energy efficient LED lighting as well as leading the way in material supply to the construction industry!

Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC) operates three cement plants located in Ciudad Juarez, Samalayuca and Chihuahua in Mexico, as well as two distribution centres. Luceco’s Ceres 200W HighBay luminaires were chosen for a retrofit project replacing tired 400W HighBay metal halide fixtures. With the new LED luminaires from Luceco in place, the processing plant is benefitting from lighting energy savings of up to 50% as well as the massive improvement in lighting levels and reduction on maintenance labour and costs.

Ceres HighBay luminaires were selected for the principle production areas. IP65 rated, Ceres benefits from a computer designed die-cast aluminium housing with increased thermal performance for maximum LED chip performance and provides over 100,000 hours of operational life and a luminaire efficacy up to 147 Llm/cW.

IK10 rated with a polycarbonate lens and options of 60/90/120 degree and racking optical distribution variants, Ceres offers 11,000 to 35,500 Llm from a two, three or five row housing. Supplied with stirrup bracket and hook for surface or suspension mounting, Ceres is available with on/off presence detection options, often a requirement in commercial and industrial applications.
