Yorkshire’s history is steeped in the exploits of local inventors and pioneers, the Hydraulic Press, Cats Eyes, Stainless Steel, and the Bailey Bridge are among just a few inventions that have proud roots within Yorkshire. Luceco has recently supplied a complete lighting solution to Scarborough University Technical College, helping their students gain the skills and qualifications they need to succeed in engineering design.
LED Circular and 600 x 600 square LuxPanels were installed throughout the building serving various Classroom applications. LuxPanel requires no maintenance over its lifetime with over 50,000 hours of operational life as does the IP65 Climate LED luminaire used in Workshops, Plantrooms, and Storage areas. Linear Academy luminaires were installed in Circulation Open Learning Areas and Dining Rooms along with Pendant, a stylish anodised aluminum suspended luminaire perfect for a contemporary finish within a learning environment.
Versatile IP65 rated LED Atlas luminaires were used on stairwells and Titan High Bays installed in Lobby areas. The High Bay is available in 110W and 200W options offering high efficacy providing instant light unlike traditional HID fittings, also with over 50,000 hours of maintenance free operation. Scarborough UTC is ensuring that history repeats itself, staying at the forefront of engineering and manufacturing in Yorkshire.
