Luceco provided an LED lighting solution to Selby Leisure Village, a £5.7m project recently completed by Selby District Council for Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust (WLCT). The Leisure Village is situated next to the new Selby Leisure Centre and provides activities such as indoor skiing, a ski simulator – the only one of its kind outside of London – adventure climbing, ten-pin bowling, play area experiences and food outlets.

Installed by T Clarke, Luceco supplied 200W Titan High Bay LED luminaires, offering high efficiency, instant light output and restrike unlike traditional HID fittings. The Titan High Bay was installed in the Urban Gym and Extreme Skate facilities providing over 50,000 hours of maintenance free operation as does the IP65 Climate luminaire used in the Ski Area, Aerial Trek, kitchens and plant areas. The Climate is an ideal replacement for linear fluorescent fittings, providing a cost-effective lighting solution for harsh environment.

Fire rated and dimmable, the Atom LED downlight was used in the Café Raft delivering a true halogen appearance providing over 50,000 hours of maintenance free, energy efficient light. Having a choice of decorative bezel finishes and colour temperatures, the Atom is Building Regulation compliant to Part B, C, E & L. Carbon Downlights were used in lobbies and reception areas as well as changing rooms and WC’s, offering running cost savings of up to 60%. Designed to retrofit into ceiling cut outs of common compact fluorescent downlights, the Carbon is also supplied with interchangable bezel options.
