The Electrical Industry Awards, organised by Electrical Times, is the electrical trade’s longest running and most respected awards championing excellence. Luceco is proud to be shortlisted as a finalist in the category: «Lighting Project of the Year».
Luceco worked in parallel with Maplin Electronics to realise the ‘Horizon’ refurbishment project, the project team played a key role with the design and supply of energy saving luminaries to the group. Refurbishing the 216 stores nationwide, Maplin provided a strict brief for Luceco Lighting Designers to achieve high lighting levels throughout various areas of the stores.
Luceco successfully managed this national roll-out supplying over 4500 fittings in total, delivering an upgrade in lighting and substantial energy savings. This benefited the end user with an annual saving of over £240,000 equating to over £2,000,000 over the lifetime of the fittings. Other environmental benefits include Co2 savings equating to over 1100 Tonnes per year which is a huge 10778 Tonnes over the predicted life time of the luminaries.
Jonathan England, Head of Property at Maplin said, «We partnered with Luceco some time ago now and their products and service received throughout our store LED conversion and SoTF (Store of The Future) project was first class, we are keen to continue our relationship whilst we look to convert our NDC in South Yorkshire to LED».
